Tollerton sits around 7 miles north-west of York, roughly a 15 to 20 minute drive from our base. Unlike the villages closer to the city, Tollerton falls under North Yorkshire Council rather than City of York Council, following the 2023 reorganisation that replaced the former Hambleton District Council, which is worth knowing since it's a different local planning authority to the one covering York itself.
